Ball Aboard

Take and imaginary ride on the light-rail from Target Field Station. Choose the Blue Line to the Mall of America or the Green Line to Union Depot. Designed by Michon Weeks and Christian Weeks in 2017 for the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center. 


 

Universe-ity

Created collaboratively by Carolyn Swiszcz and Michon Weeks at Space 368 in St. Paul, MN, April 1-30, 2017. The works of art were inspired by St. Paul's Midway area along University Avenue. Link to Camille LeFevre's review in mplsart.com.

In the Halls of St. Olaf College

Michon's painting titled, Gasoline, is installed in the newly remodeled Holland Hall at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN. Two additional paintings are installed in the Digital Scholarship Center in Rolvaag Memorial Library at St. Olaf. 

Wheel Within a Wheel

A solo exhibtion of ten large-scale paintings by Michon Weeks at the Northfield Arts Guild in 2016. Michon used ordinary objects as subject matter--bicycle, soft drink, gas can, saw blade, and other materials from the made world--and transformed them through curious alterations in perspective, scale, shape, and patterning.

Art in Odd Places: Indianapolis

Michon Weeks' solo exhibition of 44 small paintings in the Rural Aesthetic Initiative's Traveling Museum at Art in Odd Places: Indianapolis. This series of 44 paintings brings two distinct cultures into a conversation: the material culture of Michon's Northfield garage and text from "Ezekiel's Vision of the Wheel" from 660 BCE in Babylon. 

Interactive Drawing at Walker Art Center

Michon Weeks' created an interactive drawing for guests on Free First Saturdays at the Walker Art Center in 2015. The drawing featured artwork from the museum's permanent collection.

Michon Weeks' solo exhibition of 44 small paintings, Wheel Within a Wheel, at the Morrison Gallery, University of MN, Morris. 

St. Olaf Wall Drawing

This Twenty-four-foot long wall drawing is located on the third floor of Old Main at St. Olaf College. The drawing depicts objects in Michon's garage combined with text from Ezekiel's vision of the wheel, written about 600 BCE.
